Here is a great site that shows you the inspiration behind alot of Lichtensteins works. I think the word appropriate is an understatement once you look at this. Just by bringing these images into the art world he is changing them. He repainted by hand dot by dot which is an effort I suppose but what does it leave those that gave him the original images? Any comments?
